A family business with the sole purpose of buying whole fresh fish, on a daily basis, for our discerning customers from across the UK, Ireland and near continent.
Shetland is our home
And is literally in the middle of the most prolific fishing grounds in Europe. Our family has a strong connection with the sea and Shetland’s rich fishing heritage.
Shetland has over 20 major fishing vessels that, together with visiting vessels, land their catches in Shetland. The fleet is modern and designed to maintain fish quality. The proximity to the rich fishing grounds mean that the catches are landed, as fresh as possible, into two state-of- the-art fish markets at the ports of Scalloway and Lerwick.

We are dedicated to securing, for our customers, only the finest and freshest.
The most common species are Haddock, Cod, Megrim, Monkfish, Coley, Ling, Whiting and Plaice. Ask for a special poster copy of our species data sheet. Each morning, we email our customers a detailed breakdown of species available for sale, broken down by grade and tonnage. We also have a regular newsletter where we share industry insights and news. Join the group today on our contact page!
Our team of three buyers are on the market floors, each morning, assessing fish quality to inform your important buying decisions.
While remote online buying has its place, we emphasise eyes on the ground, informed buying using our economies of scale and market intelligence to get the best possible value.
We pack fish to ensure it arrives with the customer in the best possible condition. This is vitally important, so we have an in-house shipping team to maintain control and focus. We do not outsource any part of our activity or pack for anyone else.

Constant improvement in what we do and innovation have always been cornerstones of our philosophy.
We have been at the heart of a range of initiatives from breaking into new markets, establishing new fisheries, and palletisation to tackling complex issues head on, such as Brexit.
Like you, our passion is in fish.
We hope you can see from our pages and philosophy that we are passionate about what we do and take great care in how we do it.
